Utility Week Live puts drainage teams against the clock in the ‘Blockage Busters’ challenge - held on the show floor!

Get ready for the ultimate test of speed, skill, and teamwork at Utility Week Live 2025! Drainage and wastewater professionals will compete in a high-pressure race to clear a sewer blockage! This entertaining, fast-paced competition will highlight the critical work of wastewater professionals. It will challenge teams of two to detect, identify, and clear a simulated sewer blockage against the clock. With industry-grade equipment and real-world scenarios, competitors will need speed, skill, and teamwork to claim victory - apply now and put your skills to the test!

This exciting feature is in partnership with Southern Water, WRc and Cappagh Browne. "With blockages costing the UK water industry millions every year, this challenge highlights the importance of innovation, efficiency, and best practices in sewer maintenance. Think you have what it takes to be a Blockage Buster? Apply to take part - completely free!

Participants (in teams of two) will have 20 minutes to detect, identify, and clear a simulated sewer blockage as quickly as possible. With industry-grade equipment and real-world scenarios, competitors will need speed, skill, and teamwork to claim victory! 🏆

Battles begin from 10am on each day (20 & 21 May) and the winners will be crowned on the show floor at the end of day two in front of thousands of industry professionals!
