Sam is the Practice Manager for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at Energy Systems Catapult, a non-profit that accelerates innovation in the energy sector. He is focused on maximising the energy sector’s ability to use AI to accelerate Net Zero. His work ranges from cutting-edge research applying AI to specific energy problems to leading cross-sector initiatives to identify and remove barriers to the effective use of AI.Prior to joining the Catapult, Sam managed the Data Science team at National Grid Electricity Transmission where he led a team applying data and AI to condition monitoring, predictive maintenance and outage scheduling.
