The current focus of my work is on the implementation and rollout of biodiversity net gain for TCPA developments and the forthcoming approach to NSIP developments. My work covers legislation, the biodiversity metric and biodiversity net gain standards and guidance. In my role I work closely with developers of all types, landowners, national and local governments, eNGOs and academics. As a non-ecologist I am interested in how biodiversity and the natural environment can contribute towards wider social and economic benefits. I also have a strong interest in green infrastructure, especially in relation to urban and grey infrastructure resilience and performance. I was named in the ENDS Report Powerlist UK 100 most influential environmental professionals in 2022, 2023 & 2024.
