With over 18 years of experience delivering complex onshore and offshore projects across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, Murdo now focuses on deploying innovative welding techniques that support the UK’s transition to sustainable and resilient infrastructure. In his current role, Murdo has led Serimax’s entry into the UK water sector, working closely with Anglian Water on the Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) to develop and deploy non-spatter, zero-flush welding technology. This pioneering approach not only ensures high-integrity welds for large-diameter steel pipelines, but also enables significant water conservation during commissioning – a critical innovation in the UK’s driest region. Murdo’s deep technical knowledge, strategic mindset, and commitment to operational excellence make him a recognised leader in pipeline delivery.
