Ian Smith has over thirty five years’ experience in the energy industry. Throughout his career he has navigated various operational and strategic roles within the industry. In addition to his role as Head of Operations Support within National Grid, he has also complimented this by being an active director of the Joint Radio Company and also sits as Chair of the Energy Network Associations (ENA) Strategic Telecoms Group, both helping to shape the future of communications across the UK energy industry.
