Emily Smith is an emerging professional in the energy sector, currently serving as the Investment Programme Manager in the Distribution System Operations (DSO) team at Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (Distribution). With nearly four years of experience, Emily began their career as the first ‘Data Analyst’ apprentice in SSEN Distribution. In their current role, Emily is responsible for overseeing the load reinforcement pipeline and flexibility services for ED2, ensuring the necessary funding for project completion. They have significant expertise in leveraging flexibility within the network, having contributed to the award-winning Local Energy Oxfordshire project and the TRANSITION project.
