Chris Friedler
ADE
Chris is the ADE’s Senior Policy Manager for energy efficiency, convening the ADE’s energy efficiency membership of installers, suppliers, local authorities, financiers and more. Much of Chris’s work focuses on balancing new approaches for energy efficiency, especially financing, with delivery of existing subsidy schemes (such as the Energy Company Obligation). His work is also deeply advocacy focused, with focus of influencing policy makers and working with MPs. His previous experience is deep in the climate and energy sector, having worked with think tanks, NGOs and consultancies in this space in the past. He has a BSc and MSc from the University of East Anglia, and has additional campaigning experience through his own NGO. His work has covered most areas of net zero policy, from buildings, transport and industrial decarbonisation particularly.
