Alastair Scott - Future of Energy Project Manager Alastair is a Mechanical Engineer by background and has worked for SGN for 5 years since graduating from Heriot-Watt University. He has worked across a range of project in the Future of Energy Department, including the development of SGN’s RIIO-GD2 Business Plan, The Southampton Water project, the North East Network and Industrial Cluster Project and the respective bids for H100 Fife and the LTS Futures Project. He is now a Project Manager in the Hydrogen Solutions Team, which is responsible for the development of SGN’s System Transformation strategy to convert the gas networks from natural gas to 100% hydrogen, enabling the use of hydrogen across multiple sectors as part of the whole energy system. Alastair leads the Scottish Pre-FEED Project, which is routing and designing the H2 Caledonia pipeline, a new proposed hydrogen transmission pipeline down the east coast of Scotland, and developing the strategy for the stimulation of the hydrogen economy.
