The Survey Association (TSA) is the only trade association in the UK for land surveying companies. Formed in 1979 by a small and dedicated group of pioneers, it has now grown to over 200 members.
TSA serves as a collective voice for the profession, acting as a champion of the essential role of surveying and geospatial services. TSA also provides a platform for networking and collaboration among surveying professionals, and it has a focus on education and training, supporting the development of surveying skills and expertise.
One of our vision statements is, ‘Companies with a survey requirement will prefer to use a TSA member’. The membership application process is robust and the aim is to ensure that surveying practices meet high-quality standards and are aligned with relevant regulations and legislation. TSA members are encouraged to uphold these standards, fostering a culture of professionalism and integrity within the geospatial sector.
TSA has created a trailblazing PAS128 accreditation scheme for utility surveying companies that are TSA members. PUMA (PAS128 Utility Mapping Accreditation) is a scheme that aims to give clients confidence in the level of service and product accuracy assured by the accreditation. PUMA is run by LRQA a global leader in assurance, certification and inspection services.
